One of my questions going into this project was what were the perspectives of American citizens at the time and what were they doing. This source is just one answer to that question. This document was a resolution that was produced during a New England Woman Suffrage Association meeting. The resolution detailed how women in New England were helping the war effort.
I picked this document to include in my project because, even though it’s not about Guam, it deepens my understanding of what the US populace was thinking about the war. This source also gives me and my readers a window into a group we often don’t think much about during a war – women.
