Under this page are my primary sources. These are the sources that were made during the event by people at the event. For my secondary sources look at my Historiography.
Most of my primary sources are letters from US Navy officials and Spanish officials. At the start of the list, I have one primary source about why the US entered the war and below that is a source detailing what Women in New England were doing to help the war effort. After these two sources is when I narrow my focus onto Guam and I get into the letters. I have these two sources at the beginning because I am interested in why the US entered the war and what the US populace thought about the war. I also felt like those would add some context.
The letters mostly came from the US Navy historical archive with one coming from the University of Guam. Only two are from Spanish perspectives and this is where I and other researchers need to do more work. I tried to find a few Spanish perspectives and I documented the ones I found but we need to find more.
